The dawn of Uma Group has its genesis in the very thought of changing lives by means of changing lifestyles. It was the first to establish a packaging industry in Rajasthan with its first manufacturing unit, established at Abu Road and the second one in Mogra, Rajasthan. Upholding the sacred vision of collective welfare and corporate social responsivity, it captured the state market.
Experiencing continuous growth, it moved forth with rigorous efforts to expand its legacy all over India. In 2008, it established Umax, which was instrumental in doing the same. Uma Group is revered as an innovation hub as in 2011, it made its mark being one of the top three flexible packaging companies in India. As a part of its development process, Uma set up a new manufacturing unit in Guwahati in 2017. Being a permanently registered member of FPA, Uma Group is known to glean myriad solutions to complex packaging while living up to its quality commitments. In 2017, a green field unit was set up in Guwahati, followed by the installation of a Flexo printing machine by BOBST in Umax in 2019. With a vision to build a strong business model, we acquired a Unit in Malegaon, Maharashtra in 2020.
Emerging one unit after the other, Uma Group aims to multiply more in the years to come. Our underlying structure and core operations are armed with a team of exceptional enigmas who pronouncedly define professionalism and business ethics.
With a production capacity of 72,000 tons per annum and expansions in line, the group has 5 manufacturing units in India with Marketing and sales all over the country and abroad.
Our Journey
Uma, the pioneering force behind Rajasthan’s packaging industry, established its inaugural manufacturing unit in Abu, Rajasthan. Building on this triumph, the company expanded further with a second unit in Mogra, Rajasthan, in 1996. Incorporating Umax in 2008 marked a significant milestone for the Uma as it enabled the provision of state-of-the-art manufacturing services to multinational customers. Umax played a pivotal role for the group in capturing the entire Indian market with its expertise and offerings tailored to meet the needs of multinational corporations (MNCs). Through Umax’s advanced manufacturing capabilities, the Group was able to establish a strong foothold and forge valuable partnerships with MNCs across India.
Uma Group has garnered widespread recognition for their exceptional contributions in the field of flexible packaging. Our commitment to innovation and excellence was recognized with the prestigious World Star Award, honoring their role in introducing a smart wave of innovation to the packaging industry. In 2011, Uma Group achieved another remarkable milestone, cementing our position as one of the top two flexible packaging companies in India.
The ink kitchen was developed by the Group as a backward integration practice. The setup of a new manufacturing facility unit in Guwahati in 2017 and the installation of the Flexo printing machine by BOBST in Umax in 2019 have been a great deal in acknowledging new markets & technologies for low turnaround time, printing excellence, and Cost effectiveness while pacing up the market trends. The Group acquired the Malegaon unit in the year 2020.
To unleash approaches that uphold sustainable corporate ideologies with our Solvent Recovery Plant [SRP]. We intend to turn the manufacturing unit at Malegaon, Maharashtra, situated 300 km from the port, into our Export Oriented Unit (EOU), and expand our role via backward integration activities like Cylinder Processing Plant. These strategic moves will reinforce our commitment to sustainability and enhance our capabilities for future growth.
